The day started out with high hopes... after limited hours of sleep, getting the kids to school, over baking the scones, guzzling a cup of luke warm coffee, doing the dishes from the night before, and trying to find that "special outfit" for the party, we actually pulled it off. A fun day! The outfit of mine ended up being jeans and a black top, a Nakamol wrap bracelet; and an end of the party attempt at wearing one of Ashlyn's fabric flowers on my belt buckle (which I am still wearing... and love it). And Ashlyn wore one of her hip, cool outfits. The first official Trash Trunk party was just about ready to start. We got out my camera and toasted with mimosas. As you can probably guess... the photo turned out blurry so I had to take a new one to prove our breakfast of choice. The doorbell rang early with one friend having to go to work and insisted on stopping by on her way (what a party trooper... love those kind)... then the rest showed up promptly at 9:30 am. The doorbell did not stop ringing. The house was crazy full. Lots of great energy. And the socializing and shopping began...

And the door prize went to Karen Kaldestad. Your name got drawn! I do have to admit it was hard not to just give it to the cutest name on the list.... Ella. She is in kindergarten and showed up for the party in her dance leotard and silver glitter tennis shoes... talk about a fashion statement. She signed up for the door prize and even put down her phone number. What a cutie! Sorry to inform you Ella that Karen was the actual winner.... and you know her. Maybe she'll share the magazine with you! So, Karen, you win a year's subscription to People's Style Watch magazine. You don't have to do anything. We will send in the info for you. Look for it in your mailbox next month. I know you have two hip daughters. Maybe they can look through it and give me some advice on my own style... Lord knows I need it. So, enjoy!

That's it.... You are wondering why these are the only photos???? Because it was so busy and we forgot to take pictures along the way. We thank you all for coming and love that our friends went out of their way today to support us. We look forward to seeing you all at our Summer show. I was so bummed to miss it! The pictures look amazing. So excited for you! By the way, my mom may call you today about Miro (dad's cousin). He liked the idea of the painting being a book cover :).
